I love to create sensory bins for Miss 3, and since it’s close to Halloween, I jumped at the opportunity to make her this glow-in-the-dark Halloween Sensory Tray. I used things we already have in our craft and homeschool collections.

If you haven’t already made colored rice before, you should definitely try it! You can make different colored batches and they last for years! We’re using this orange rice that we made back in September. I will link a new blog post with our colored rice recipe here this week!

WHAT YOU NEED:

INSTRUCTIONS:

1.) Pour the colored rice into a large bin or tray. (We use IKEA Trofast bins in our IKEA Flisat table.)

2.) Place Insects around the tray.

3.) Add glow-in-the-dark bones.

4.) Add glow-in-the-dark wiggly eyes.

5.) Sprinkle acrylic gems around the tray.

6.) Provide a scoop and buckets/containers for play time and go!
