The Maternal Hobbyist in the Spotlight
I’m thrilled to share that The Maternal Hobbyist was recently featured in Redfin’s article:
Easter Crafts for Kids: Fun, Easy, and Creative Ideas for a Memorable Spring
In the article, I shared three of our favorite nature-inspired Easter crafts that are perfect for kids and encourage outdoor play, creativity, and seasonal fun. Here’s a sneak peek at what I contributed:
“One of our favorite Easter crafts is making Wax Paper Suncatchers—kids can melt crayon shavings between wax paper to create vibrant designs, then cut them into festive shapes like tulips, butterflies, or Easter eggs. It’s a colorful way to welcome spring and brighten any window.
Another fun and hands-on activity is crafting DIY nature crowns using paper strips, flower petals, and bits of leaves, or twigs collected from a backyard adventure.
For something a little different, try Easter story stones — paint small rocks with acrylic paint or paint pens using spring-inspired art like chicks, flowers, or even as an egg alternative, then seal them with Mod Podge Outdoor to protect them from the elements. Kids can hide them around the yard or neighborhood for an exciting scavenger hunt! These crafts are simple, and spark creativity while encouraging kids to explore and play.”
