WHAT IS SOCIAL MEDIA ON THE SAND?

Social Media on the Sand

In October, I had the incredible opportunity to attend the 5th Annual Social Media on the Sand Conference. This year, it was held at Beaches Resorts in Turks and Caicos.

As a result, I learned “SMOTS” is short for Social Media on the Sand. Also, the influencers who attend are known as “Beaches Moms.”

So, what exactly is SMOTS? Um, only the best experience of my life!

What is Social Media on the Sand?

The SMOTS conference is an exclusive, invitation-only event. Therefore, only 100 of the most influential bloggers, journalists, and entrepreneur moms and dads are selected.

I gained tremendous business strategy during the conference. I also made some new amazing friends.

What Did I Learn?

A few of the helpful topics we discussed were how to monetize your blog, and integrating and working with media. We also learned how to pitch your brand and increase your presence online.

The Keynote Speaker Schedule was filled with trailblazing brand builders like Jamie Kern Lima. Fashion designers Rebecca Minkoff and Amanda Perna were there. Meaghan Murphy from Good Housekeeping Magazine, and Daymond John from Shark Tank made a surprise appearance as well.

In short, yes it is! That is to say, it’s an incredible experience!

Social Media on the Sand was voted one of BizBash’s “Most Innovative Meetings” of 2018. In other words, this conference is hands down, the most informative business conference I’ve ever attended.

Above all, I am inspired, refreshed, and motivated as a result. Not to mention, Turks and Caicos has been on our bucket list for 9 years.
